Summer is here and the sun too! The time challenge continues however with everything PoppySeed. We’re not sure where the last 12 months have gone but they have at pace!
Here at PoppySeed so much has happened in the last months – Ophelia, Flooding at PoppySeed Clarinbridge, snow days (the beast from the east) with a few regular days thrown in. In the world of cafes you expect the unexpected, all of these significant events certainly create a new routine. As Summer lands with some wonderful bright and warm weather PoppySeed celebrates with luscious salads and tasty creations. It’s the nicest time of year to experiment with flavour. We are loving Summer specials, such as tasty flatbreads with homemade tomato coulis and gourmet toppings. Paolos Strawberry tartlets with crème patisserie are back and bursting with flavour.
Our sister restaurant, AJLA, opened in Clarinbridge in April. It became a big project which may have contributed to our lack of chat in recent months. AJLA is located above our Clarinbridge café and it is an exciting new adventure for us. The space is cocooning, dark green abounds with hints of gold and blush. We are delighted with the result and look forward to the journey ahead. AJLA offers an array of menus, particularly creative brunch and dinner options and is perfect for parties and groups, families and couples. The tourist season is about to get into full swing, exams are sliding by and holidays plans being confirmed. Visitors to Galway are embracing the city of festivals, Galway Gastronomy 2018 and the sweeping views of the Wild Atlantic Way. Our homes in Clarinbridge and Oranmore allow us to enjoy the best of Galway during the Summer. At PoppySeed we are keen to meet the season head on and hope to see you along the way.
